Write the tracking plan
Events, properties and conversions defined around the questions your team needs answered, with consistent names.

We plan the events that answer your questions, implement them through Google Tag Manager or code, and check every one against real journeys.
The problem
Two tools show two different conversion counts. A form fires twice. Consent blocks half the tags without anyone noticing. Once people stop trusting the numbers, they stop using them, and decisions go back to opinion. Analytics implementation fixes the plumbing: a written plan of what to track, clean tags and a check that the data matches reality.
What you get
Everything from the tracking plan to the last consent check, in GA4, PostHog or both.
Events, properties and conversions defined around the questions your team needs answered, with consistent names.
A clean Google Tag Manager setup with clear naming, folders and no orphaned tags or triggers.
Conversions, custom dimensions, cross-domain tracking and filters configured, so reports reflect real users.
PostHog events, funnels and session recordings where you need behaviour detail beyond GA4.
Consent mode and your cookie banner wired to every tag, tested in each consent state.
Every event tested against real journeys, then documented so the next person does not break it.
One set of numbers, and a clear reason to trust it.
We implement in the tools you use and join them where it helps.
Every ecosystem, five ways in
Plan before tagging, and test before anyone reports on it.
Current tools, tags, consent and reports reviewed against what the business needs to know.
A tracking plan with events, properties, conversions and naming rules.
Tags, code and tool configuration built in staging, then released.
Every event tested in each consent state, then documented and handed over.

A few things worth discussing before your analytics project takes shape.
Analytics implementation sets up the tools, tags and events that measure how people use your website. At Stega that covers a tracking plan, Google Tag Manager, GA4, PostHog where needed, consent integration, testing every event and documentation your team can follow.
A small site with a few tags can manage Google Tag Manager in-house. Google Tag Manager consulting pays off when you have many tags, several tools, consent requirements or a container nobody understands. We can also audit your setup and leave your team to run it.
Cost depends on the number of events, tools and domains, and whether consent needs rework. A tracking audit on its own is smaller, and tells you whether a full rebuild is needed.
Sites with many forms, several domains or an ecommerce data layer take longer. Testing each event in every consent state is the step we never skip.
GA4 suits marketing questions: traffic sources, campaigns and conversions. PostHog suits product and behaviour questions: funnels, retention, recordings and experiments. Many teams run both analytics tools, with one agreed source for each metric so the numbers never compete.
GA4 and CRM conversion numbers differ because of consent choices, ad blockers, duplicate events and different definitions of a conversion. Some gap is normal. A large gap usually means a tracking fault, which a tracking audit finds and fixes.
