We build storefronts and integrations on Medusa, the open-source headless commerce platform, for brands that outgrow the rules of hosted stores.

Headless commerce, from architecture to storefront. Why Medusa
Medusa.js is an open-source commerce engine built on Node.js. Products, carts, orders and payments come as modules, and you decide the rest: the storefront, the CMS, the hosting and the business rules. There is no licence fee and no app store deciding what you can build. The trade-off is ownership, so we agree who runs each part before we build.
Medusa services
Four services for teams choosing Medusa.js commerce, or already running it.
A custom front end in Next.js or Astro on the Medusa API, designed around how your customers buy.
Catalogue, customers and order flows migrated from Shopify, WooCommerce or Magento, with a plan for every service you replace.
Stripe, fulfilment providers and your ERP wired into Medusa with clear API contracts and error handling.
Architecture for storefront, commerce engine, CMS and hosting, with a named owner for every part.
Medusa gives you control. Control comes with responsibility, so weigh both honestly.
Medusa here means the Medusa.js commerce platform. We build on Shopify and Adobe Commerce too, and will say when a hosted platform fits better.
Headless means every tool is a choice. These are the ones we connect Medusa to.
Every ecosystem, five ways in
Security, by consideration.
For your Medusa project, we consider storefront APIs, backend services, payment connections and operational access as part of one connected build.

Certificate configuration, HTTPS and secure headers help protect the path between your users and your systems.
Scoped tool access, validated inputs and human approval where automated actions carry consequences.
A headless build has more moving parts. We agree who owns each one before we start.
Catalogue, channels, payment and fulfilment requirements, and the honest case for going headless.

We build the storefront and integrations, then test product, payment and fulfilment flows together.

A few things worth discussing before your Medusa project takes shape.
Medusa.js is an open-source headless commerce platform built on Node.js. Medusa provides products, carts, orders, payments and fulfilment as modules behind an API, so you build your own storefront and connect any CMS or service you choose.
Medusa.js is a good alternative to Shopify when you need custom business logic or multi-region selling without app fees. You also need developers to own the code. For most brands launching fast with a small team, Shopify is still the simpler choice.
The cost depends on storefront complexity, integrations, migration scope and hosting setup. Medusa itself is free and open source, but hosting and maintenance cost money, so we estimate running costs too.
Migrations from Shopify or Magento and complex ERP integrations add time. We run a working storefront against real product data early, so you test the buying journey well before launch.
A Medusa.js store runs on hosting you control, such as Medusa Cloud, Google Cloud or another provider. Maintenance covers upgrades, security patches and monitoring. We agree before the build whether your team, Stega or both own each part.
Medusa.js can handle B2B commerce through customer groups, price lists, sales channels and custom modules for quotes or approvals. Complex B2B rules usually need custom development, so we map your requirements against Medusa's modules before recommending it.
