A Webflow site with real business logic behind it.
Workbase needed a marketing site its team could run in Webflow, with logic Webflow does not offer out of the box. We built it with custom code and server-side JavaScript, and set up technical and local SEO for the German-speaking market.

The problem
A SaaS site that needed more than a page builder.
Workbase sold its onboarding platform to companies in the German-speaking market, and free sign-ups were the goal. The site needed custom business logic that a standard Webflow build cannot run. It also had to show up in German-language and local search.
- A free sign-up goal that every page had to support.
- Business logic beyond what Webflow handles natively.
- Search visibility in German-language and local results.
The solution
Keep Webflow for editing, add code for the logic.
We kept pages and content in Webflow so the Workbase team could publish without a developer. The custom logic ran in server-side JavaScript alongside it. Technical and local SEO went in as part of the build.

Our intervention
What we took on.
We built the site and the custom development behind it as one system.
- 01
Webflow build
A Webflow site the marketing team edits themselves, with templates for product pages and the blog.
- 02
Custom business logic
Custom development for the rules and flows the site needed beyond Webflow's built-in features.
- 03
Server-side JavaScript
Server-side code that runs that logic outside the browser, kept separate from the pages the team edits.
- 04
Technical and local SEO
Clean structure, metadata and indexing, plus local SEO aimed at the German-speaking market.

The Stega fix
Use Webflow for what it does well, and code the rest.
Webflow is good at pages and editing. Custom logic is a different job. We drew that line early and built properly on both sides of it.
A clear split
Content lives in Webflow and logic lives in server-side code, so either side can change without breaking the other.
Search for the real market
SEO was set up for German-language search from launch, because that is where Workbase's buyers looked.
Sign-up within reach
Every template points to the free sign-up, the one goal the site existed to serve.
Stega initiatives
What we recommend next.
Workbase has since grown into a wider AI workspace. These are the improvements we recommend for a SaaS site at that stage.
New language markets
As the product reaches new markets, we propose extending the technical and local SEO setup to each new language.
Sign-up tracking
Tracking from first visit to free sign-up shows which pages and search terms bring in new accounts.
Search content
We are preparing blog topic plans around the problems the product now solves for growing teams.
