The backend nobody owns.

Many websites depend on a small backend service one person wrote and nobody wants to touch.

What's included

Services built to run.

We build the services your website and product rely on. Company-wide cloud platforms stay with your IT team or a Google Cloud partner.

Develop cloud services

APIs and backend services in Node.js, Python or Go, containerised and deployed to Cloud Run, which scales to zero when idle.

Integrate your APIs

Services connected to CRMs, payment providers and internal systems, with authentication, rate limits and timeouts handled properly.

Process events

Pub/Sub topics and subscriptions for webhooks, form submissions and product events, with retries and dead-letter topics for failures.

Validate every deployment

Cloud Build pipelines that test, build and deploy, with Cloud Run revisions so a bad release rolls back in one step.

Security, by consideration.

Trust is part of the build.

For your Google Cloud project, we consider service accounts, workloads, data stores and deployment permissions as part of one connected build.

Changes you can trace.

GitHub workflows, peer review and dependency checks bring decisions into the release process.

Protected in transit.

Certificate configuration, HTTPS and secure headers help protect the path between your users and your systems.

Intelligence with limits.

Scoped tool access, validated inputs and human approval where automated actions carry consequences.

Build it. Ship it. Watch it.

Every service ships with its pipeline, logs and alerts.

Google Cloud development questions.

A few things worth discussing before your Google Cloud development takes shape.

How do you deploy Cloud Run services without downtime?

Cloud Run services deploy without downtime by creating a new revision and shifting traffic to it once it is healthy. We send a small share of traffic to the new revision first, watch errors and latency, then move the rest. Rolling back means pointing traffic at the previous revision.

How do you keep secrets safe in a Google Cloud service?

Secrets in a Google Cloud service belong in Secret Manager, never in code or plain environment files. Each Cloud Run service gets its own service account with access only to the secrets it needs. Access is logged, and rotating a key does not require a code change.

Can you take over a Google Cloud service someone else built?

Stega can take over a Google Cloud service someone else built, as long as we can access the project and the code. We audit the code, permissions and deployment process, move deploys into a tested pipeline and document what we find. Company-wide cloud platforms stay with your IT team or a Google Cloud partner.

How much does Google Cloud development cost?

The price depends on the number of services, integrations and environments. Cloud Run bills for requests and compute time, so small services often cost little to run. We estimate running costs during scoping.
