Migrate the catalogue
Products, variants, prices, inventory and images exported, cleaned and imported into Medusa, with counts reconciled against the source.
Migrate to Medusa.js from Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento or a custom platform, with a named owner for every system after launch.
Selected work, in motion.
Brand and interaction, brought together in a digital experience.Replatforming to Medusa makes sense when the workarounds cost more than the move.
What's included
A commerce migration is a data project, an operations project and an SEO project. We plan all three before the switch.
Products, variants, prices, inventory and images exported, cleaned and imported into Medusa, with counts reconciled against the source.
Payment, tax, fulfilment, returns and notifications traced step by step, then rebuilt as Medusa workflows or connected services.
Customer accounts and past orders imported, with a password reset plan where the old platform's hashes cannot move.
Test orders through every payment method and region, redirects checked, and the old store on standby until the new one proves itself.
Security, by consideration.
For your Medusa project, we consider storefront APIs, backend services, payment connections and operational access as part of one connected build.
See our approachGitHub workflows, peer review and dependency checks bring decisions into the release process.
Certificate configuration, HTTPS and secure headers help protect the path between your users and your systems.
Scoped tool access, validated inputs and human approval where automated actions carry consequences.
We rehearse the full migration on staging before the real one.
Catalogue, customers, orders, apps and URLs listed, each assigned a new home.
Medusa set up, data imported to staging and a full rehearsal run end to end.
Final import, DNS switch and redirects live, then order and search monitoring.

A few things worth discussing before your Medusa.js migration takes shape.
Yes, we migrate stores from Shopify to Medusa.js, including products, variants, customers and order history. Shopify apps are replaced one by one with Medusa modules, workflows or direct integrations. We also redirect Shopify's product and collection URLs so search traffic follows the move.
Customers may need to reset their passwords after a move to Medusa, because most platforms do not export password hashes. We plan for it with a clear email, a simple reset flow and a message at login, so returning buyers understand what happened and can still check out quickly.
Migrating to Medusa.js is the wrong move when your store runs well on a hosted platform and the pain is design, not logic. Medusa brings engineering ownership: hosting, upgrades and security become yours. If that trade does not pay for itself, improving your current platform is cheaper.
Catalogue size matters less than the number of order flows, apps and integrations to replace. A rehearsal on staging is built into the timeline, so the real switch repeats something already tested.
